1.) Who is Engine Rebuilders (ERI) and what do you do?

ERI is a remanufacturer of light duty gas and diesel engines. We have been remanufacturing engines for over 30 years. Much of our time has been focused on the compact construction equipment market, specifically Bobcat equipment. ERI carries a full line of engines, components and parts for most makes and models of Bobcat and other equipment including Gehl, Case, New Holland, Skat Track and more.

3.) What is your warranty policy?

All ERI engines come with a 6 month/unlimited hour warranty. Extended warranties may be available for certain applications. Ask our inside sales team for details. The full guarantee is listed on our warranty page.

4.) What information must be provided to ensure I get the correct engine?

For Bobcat equipment, the customer will need to provide the machine model and serial number. ERI can look up the necessary information based on these two pieces of data.

For all other brands, the customer will need to provide the engine make, model, engine serial number and application so that ERI can determine if there is a finished engine and/or core that will fit the application.

6.) What hours are you open?

7:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday thru Friday.

7.) How fast do engines ship? What engines do you carry in stock?

ERI carries the most complete inventory of drop-in ready compact equipment engines in the industry. If for some reason we are sold out, we can build an engine in 5 days as long as we have a core. Repair and return (R&R) options are also available when ERI does not have a core. In this process, ERI remanufactures the customer’s core. Time frame for this service is typically 5 to 7 days from the time we receive the engine.

8.) What forms of payment do you accept?

ERI accepts all major credit cards, wire transfers, and ACH deposits. All funds must be received prior to shipment. When appropriate, ERI will extend credit terms based on 30 day payment terms upon successful completion of provide customers with credit given a completed and approved credit application.

9.) What types of components are parts are available?

ERI has most major engine components available for purchsae including cylinder heads, injection pump, injectors, and turbos. ERI can also supply parts including complete rebuild kits and individual pieces like pistons, rings, bearings, and gasket sets. 10.) What is the warranty coverage on components and parts?

ERI warrants component parts for a period of 6 months, part only.

11.) What is included in a rebuild kit?

The base of the rebuild kits include: pistons, rings, pins, clips, rod bearings, main bearings, oil filter, and gasket set. The kits vary by make and model so please call us at 1-800-884-6351 for specifics.

12.) How much freight can I expect to pay on engines?

Roundtrip freight is covered by ERI on all engines*. That means we pay the freight to the place of installation and also for the return of the engine core to ERI--this includes freight for any R&R engine.

*Surcharges may apply for resedential, liftgate service, or shipments outside the continental US.

13.) How much freight can I expect to pay on component parts?

For component parts, the actual UPS charges will be added to the invoice.

14.) What is the core return process

  • Receive the reman engine from ERI.
  • Save all paperwork from engine (Core Return Instructions and Return Bill of Lading).
  • Do the engine swap and put core back in original skid.
  • Call DLS Worldwide at 866.940.6321
  • Provide Return BOL #
  • Driver will arrive 24-48 hours, give the BOL to the driver.

15.) I didn't save the paperwork, now what?

16.) What is your core criteria?

ERI core criteria states that you must have your engine assembled, all components must be included, the core must be like for like exchange and have the oil drained out of it. The entire inspection is visual. If the engine has a hole in the block, we provide ½ core credit. Additional deductions would apply for missing and/or damaged components.

17.) How long before I will receive my core credit?

Cores are processed daily and the core credit will be processed within 24-48 hours of receipt.
